Here's the transcript in case you missed it:
Hi I'm Dr. Raminder Badyal from the Downtown Wellness Centre, I'm a Chiropractor here.
How do Chiropractors Treat Back Pain? Part 2
When a person comes into my office intent is to get them functioning properly and functioning well. So they usually come in, in a dysfunctional state. So as a chiropractor our aim especially in my office is to treat the persons' parts, so we can make the whole a bit better. In fact a lot better. So for example, when someone comes in with lower back pain, it's very easy for us to ascertain what the problem is and then of course go along with a plan of management to fix it. And that plan of management - in my office specifically - deals with, first of all: getting the person out of pain; and getting them functioning properly. Which means we have to address, not only the bones in the lower back, but also the muscles that attach to those bones, and the nerves that are coming out of the lower back. Also we have to tackle what caused the problem in the first place. Are their lifestyle issues, is there an exercise issue, is there a flexibility issue. So we need to address all of those. Nutrition for example comes into play as well. As long as we touch on all those aspects, we make every one of those aspects a little bit better, that patient will definitely get better as well. So we need to focus on the individual parts, to make the whole much better.
Thanks for helping us understand that Dr. B.
