We did it again! Team India captained once again by our very own Dr. B. were crowned 2016 Nations Cup Masters Division Tournament Champions. Congratulations Team India captained this year by our very own Dr. B. in winning the 2014 Nations Cup Soccer Tournament Masters Division. The Nations Cup is recognized by players and spectators alike as one of the foremost amateur men’s and women’s soccer tournaments in Western Canada. This year’s tournament took place July 18, 19, and 20, 2014 in Richmond, BC.
Dr. Badyal and the staff at the Downtown Wellness Centre would like to welcome Dakota Johnson to our city. Dakota will be starring in the highly anticipated screen version of “Fifty Shades of Grey” which was filmed in Vancouver and is to be released in February 2015.
The Downtown Wellness Centre is pleased to announce that our Chiropractor, Dr. Raminder Badyal, has been successfully nominated as a Medal Bearer in the Cross Canada Rick Hansen Relay celebrating the 25thanniversary of Rick Hansen’s Man in Motion World Tour. Twenty-five years to the date of his Man In Motion World Tour commencing its historic cross-Canada journey back to British Columbia, Canadian hero Rick Hansen will continue his journey of making the world more accessible and inclusive with the announcement of the Rick Hansen 25th Anniversary Relay. Beginning on August 24, 2011 in Cape Spear, Newfoundland and Labrador – the easternmost point in North America and approximately 15 kilometres south-east of St. John’s – the 25th Anniversary Relay will retrace the Canadian segment of the original Tour, but this time one man in motion will be represented and celebrated by many in motion; engaging 7,000 participants from across Canada who have made their own difference in the lives of others. The Rick Hansen Medal and Medal-Bearers In every province, Relay Medal-Bearers will pass along the singular Rick Hansen Medal produced by the Royal Canadian Mint – as the Relay makes its way across the country. While Rick will be present at a number of cities and stops along the 25th Anniversary Relay, it will be these 7,000 Medal-Bearers who will complete this cross-Canada tour. Medal-Bearers will represent a wide spectrum of examples of making a difference. Examples will include those who have made a difference by:

Dr. Badyal presented and facilitated a discussion on “Healthy Foods for a Healthy Spine” at this year’s Nourish Retreat featured at Cornucopia Whistler 2013. The mission of the Nourish retreat is: “to create a space for anyone and everyone to explore and enjoy sustainable foods and lifestyle choices, enhancing our health and deepening our connection with the earth that feeds us”. Dr. Badyal was featured in episode 104 of the Oprah Winfrey Network series: buy.o.logic. The program features everyday tips on health and wellness for its viewers. Dr. Badyal was asked to provide expert advice in the effects of posture and postural strain on our spine and overall functional health.

Our office is now “Tough Mudder Approved”! Dr. Badyal successfully completed the 25 obstacles amongst the approximately 18km of running up and down the hills of Whistler Olympic Park.

Dr. Raminder Badyal, the creator of the Downtown Wellness Centre – Vancouver Chiropractor Clinic, has been in full time practice in the lower mainland since graduating from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (Toronto) with clinic and academic honors in 1997. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of British Columbia (Vancouver) in 1992.
Bruce is our Office Manager at the Downtown Wellness Centre and more importantly, the warm and happy face that initially welcomes all to our office. Bruce has been at the Downtown Wellness Centre since it’s conception and as such has a wealth of knowledge with regards to the practitioners and the services that are provided.
